Android has 79% of threats to mobile devices

Android, Google’s mobile operating system, accounted for 79% of digital threats created for mobile devices in 2012. A year earlier, that figure was 66%, and in 2010, 11%. The data was released this Thursday (7) by F-Secure, a Finnish security software company. The company identified 301 new threats and variants targeting smartphones and tablets exclusively during the year.

The largest professional networking site is broadening its horizons, on the 18th LinkedIn announced the purchase of the mobile application Pulse, which works as an aggregator of internet content, such as news and blogs.

LinkedIn paid 90 million dollars for the application that emerged from an academic project by Ankit and Akshay in 2010 at Stanford University and was currently held by the California company Alphonso Labs.

Smartphone prices will drop in Brazil

This measure will bring consumers a price reduction of up to 30% compared with imported devices, and only devices costing less than R$ 1,500.00 and manufactured in Brazil will qualify for the measure.
