The viral hit of the moment has already reached 1 billion views in 40 days, the number of views wasn’t achieved with just one posted video, but through scenes from other videos, according to the company Visible Measures, just the ten most popular versions of “Harlem Shake” account for a total of 336 million views.
However, this viral hit ended up causing some trouble, for example, at a mining company in Australia 15 miners were fired after posting a video of the dance during working hours and at their workplace. Here in Brazil, in Goiânia, a school suspended students who made the Harlem Shake video in the bathroom. However, some companies joined the trend and got everyone dancing, among them NASA and Facebook.
Now we just have to wait and see whether Harlem Shake will surpass the Gangnam Style mark.
